Overweight: Being overweight is another cause of snoring. This is because when you are overweight, it is difficult for air to pass through the fatty tissue in the throat and airways and this leads to snoring.

Modifying your life styles: The way you live your life presently might be contributing to your snoring habit. For instance, too much  eating, drinking of alcohol and smoking. All these are chief contributors to snoring. The doctor advised that you modify your life style because this is the conservative therapy which is a primary step in curing snoring. For instance, you might not be able to give up alcohols entirely, but you can avoid drinking it especially after dinner or when it is close to bedtime, so that it will not have effect on your sleep or cause snoring
